It is in the village of Tourrettes-sur-Loup, north of Nice that violets are predominantly cultivated in France. Violets of this quality are very sought after by confectioners.
This preserve is made in Provence with 'Victoria' violets following a traditional recipe. It has a sweet, delicate flavour and its inimitable scent is absolutely natural as is its soft purple colour. The pots are taken one by one to complete the arrangement of flowers in the jar. The fragile violets are carefully hand picked and placed in each jar of jelly. Exquisite for breakfast and afternoon tea, on toast or scones.
